In this role, you will be ultimately responsible for the on-time vehicle readiness for the suite of tests and service operations scheduled during your shift on its VH6 platform and support autonomous vehicles when possible. Within the Mission Readiness team, you will help ensure the vehicles meet regulatory requirements per the provided guidance. You will also support the parts team in organizing and transporting spare parts inventory. Ensure the vehicles, equipment, and workplace are clean and ready for use. Provide logistical support for the movement and storage of vehicles and equipment. Assist with paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness. Perform routine charging of company test vehicles and supporting equipment. Execute mission prep procedures (e.g., launching software across several devices per vehicle, verifying SW/HW configurations, deploying SW as appropriate, capturing requested data, and escalating issues as they arise). Provide support as a member of the Incident Response Team during vehicle recovery scenarios. Support the readiness of spare parts and the associated inventory. Provide hands-on technical support to the automotive technicians (e.g., fluid changes, part replacements, wiring checks, etc.). General testing support (documentation, pre-mission assistance, cone courses, obstacles, traffic control, support vehicle driving). IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE Attention to detail, technical savvy, going above and beyond Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in automotive repair Proficiency with Jira/Confluence Proficiency with MS Office/Google Suites Experience working in a fast-paced environment REQUIRED SKILLS 2 - 4 years of related work experience in automotive service or repair. Must have a valid driver's license with no tickets or accidents in the last 3 years. Ability to travel locally and nationally (less than 30%). Possess a “get it done” attitude, safety-first mindset, and a sense of urgency to resolve problems and tasks. Must have the proven ability to problem solve and deliver on high-pressure situations. Must have the proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deliverables. Excellent written/verbal communication skills Works well in a team environment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around. SCOPE: The Renovation Specialist is responsible for completing all construction and renovation on inventory homes in a portfolio of communities. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, inventory home management, portfolio management and project management to ensure community inventory is ready for sale in good physical condition with a stabilized fiscal operation. Use of technology to communicate and report objectives and progress. To adhere to all applicable fair housing laws governing real estate sales, leasing and management maintenance service. The following is meant to cover many of the tasks to be performed, however duties and responsibilities are not conclusive below and can change as the Company deems necessary and as determined by your supervisor: RESPONSIBILITIES: - Use and application of skillset to renovate mobile homes, apartments, offices, and clubhouses, as needed. - Use of hand and power tools to demo and construction of homes, apartments, offices, and clubhouses, as needed - Follow instructions and scope of work with attention to detail and focus on efficiency and cost savings - Attend regular safety training events and hold self and team to high standards for workplace safety - Coordinate and collaborate with Renovation Team Lead to determine proper scopes and scheduling of renovations. - Inspect all inventory homes within region for readiness status. Identify all repairs needed and create a scope of work within estimated costs for all repairs. - Communicate inspection requests, analyze quotes and scopes for accuracy and submit for approval. Follow up with vendors or team for scheduling and completion of work. - Identify areas of inventory needs and completion of renovation of inventory home - Physically examine the inventory and renovation work of the properties on a regular basis - Research building materials and aim to find the best quality and price - Compile weekly inventory reports, tasking, purchase card reconciliations timely and as dictated - Use technology (i.e., mobile phone, tablet, laptop or PC) to create, track, and report progress on all work orders, timesheets, and performance. QUALIFICATIONS: - High School diploma or equivalent is required, College Degree preferred. - Proficient in Excel, MS Office, Internet, and various computer and mobile device applications. - Construction Experience Preferred. - Knowledge and experience in some, or most, areas of rough and finish carpentry, plumbing, electrical, siding, flooring, painting, and home finishing. - Experience in use of hand and power tools used for demo and construction of homes, apartments, offices, and clubhouses, as needed. - Energetic and positive with a sharp eye for detail. - Must be safety and results driven. - Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Flexibility to travel up to 25%, some weekends may be required. - Must have a valid driver's license and 3 years of clean driving record.
