Guardian has an immediate need for a Maintenance Technician to join our experienced and committed team at Royal Hills! Royal Hills is an affordable apartment community in Renton, WA with 284 units. The Maintenance Technician's primary role will be to support the Community Managers by ensuring site safety and completion of required property maintenance necessary to maintain excellent curb appeal and the overall appearance and quality of the properties on a scheduled basis. This will include prioritizing and processing work orders which may include both urgent and routine maintenance of property and apartment units. This position is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance work is done in compliance with OSHA regulations, and Guardian policies and procedures. A Maintenance Technician is also responsible for coordinating with other property staff and vendors to provide outstanding customer service to the residents, provide well-timed and proactive property maintenance, safeguard the good financial health and stability of the properties, and complete all required paperwork and reports on time. For this position, we are seeking a dynamic self-starter who enjoys working with others and excels in a fast-paced, flexible, and hands-on environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, professional and communicative. A minimum of one year of experience in property maintenance, building engineering or a related field preferred. Must own or have access to a properly insured vehicle for use in business transportation needs, as well as maintain valid driver's license and insurance. You should have a proven track record in: • Advanced Tree Climbing: Proficient in various climbing techniques, including SRT and DRT, and experienced in safely accessing trees for various tasks. • Tree Removal: Expert in technical and high-risk tree removals, including rigging and strategic felling in confined or complex spaces. • Tree Pruning: Knowledgeable in industry-standard pruning techniques (e.g., ANSI A300 standards) to improve tree health, structure, and aesthetics. • Equipment Operation: Skilled in operating and maintaining equipment like chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders, mini-ski, excavator experience a plus. • Safety: Committed to following all safety protocols and procedures on the job site. Requirements • 3 years of professional experience as an arborist or tree climber. • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. • Current arborist certifications (ISA Certified Arborist, etc.) are a plus, but not required. • Your own climbing gear and saws is preferred, but we can discuss options.
