ShareWe are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and patient individual (preferably between 50–65 years old) to provide companionship and basic care for our mother, who lives at home and has dementia. Details: Hours: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 5-7 days a week (schedule can be discussed) Location: Downtown Winchester Pay: $15 per hour Responsibilities include: Offering companionship and supervision throughout the day while watching TV together or playing Scrabble. Helping with bathing, brushing teeth, washing face, and combing hair. Offering regular bathroom reminders to prevent accidents and bathroom assistance when required. Laying out clothing options that are simple, comfortable, and easy to put on. Providing balanced meat-free meals and snacks, and monitoring water intake to avoid dehydration. Mobility assistance: Support safe walking around the house, encouraging light movement or stretching, and sittign on back porch when there is nice weather. Requirements: Compassionate and patient personality Experience caring for someone with dementia is a plus, but not required Reliable and trustworthy Must be punctual and consistent with schedule If you are interested, please reply with your name, contact information, and a brief description of your experience.
