Responsible for providing quality service to guests and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet and take food orders from customers, serve orders, and accommodate special requests. Understand and ensures time and preparations of all food and beverage items. Remain attentive to customers throughout the entire dining experience; adhere to or exceed established service standards at all times. Complete all restocking and cleaning duties; perform opening and closing side work as instructed. Memorize menu items, recipes, and daily specials in order to answer questions and make recommendation to customers. Maintain cleanliness standards in restaurant, wait station, and kitchen service area in order to have a clean and presentable facility and to meet all state and local health requirements. Control guest checks by following established check-use procedures and legibly documenting all required information as the customer’s order is taken and processed. Receive proper payment from guest and ensure accuracy of guest check and method of payment in order to safeguard customer and company. Additional Responsibilities Keep work area neat and organized. Essential Functions: · Maintain proper inventory levels of plates within hot and cold stations. · Maintain proper storage of dish dollies, glass racks and flatware. · Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen. · Maintain a clean and organized work station. · Perform washing, organizing and inventory of china, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots and pans per standards. · Perform cleaning of walk in refrigerators and kitchen areas; to include sweeping and mopping. · Perform cleaning and monitoring of dishwasher. · Empty and wash garbage cans. · Understand and provide chemicals and supplies for station. · Conduct self in a professional manner at all times. · Maintain a safe working environment and immediately report all unsafe conditions. · Maintain a good working relationship with all departments. · Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook.
