Reaching For Independence, Inc. was founded in 2005, and provides support for adults with developmental disabilities in achieving their goals in a community based setting. Our dedicated staff assist people in finding employment, develop independent living skills, access community resources, and practice community safety skills. Direct Support Staff/Job Coach is an especially important role at RFI. The objective of this role is to support people while they work to achieve the goals that they have identified as important to them. The DSP/Job Coach helps identify community activities and resources that will assist in developing the skills that will advance the person towards their goals. Additional duties of the DSP/Job Coach will consist of transporting clients to job sites, community locations, behavioral support, and educational opportunities.
