Installer Full-Time Program Description: Join our team at Rebuilding Together Sacramento in a rewarding role that makes a real difference for vulnerable neighbors. You’ll help older adults, people with disabilities, and other low-income homeowners live safely and independently by installing accessibility items such as grab bars, wheelchair ramps, modified steps, and railings. Work will be performed both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities: • Perform installations • Process inventory and complete necessary paperwork • Use computer applications, including learning our Salesforce database • Provide supplies for volunteers, as needed • Other duties as assigned Employment Information: • Full-time, hourly, non-exempt (40 hours/week during business hours) • Nonprofit Pay: $21.00 – $22.00/hour, depending on experience • Company vehicle provided most of the time; personal vehicle use may be required on occasion (mileage reimbursed at IRS rate) • Driving is a responsibility of this position so the employee must show proof of a valid driver’s license and auto insurance Benefits: • Health, dental, and life insurance • Sick leave, vacation accrual, and retirement contributions • 12 paid holidays, plus your birthday off and additional paid time off in December Qualifications: • Strong carpentry and “handyman/handywoman” skills for minor repairs • Comfortable working in underserved neighborhoods with older adults and people with disabilities • Skilled with Microsoft computer programs, email and ability to learn Salesforce • Proven reliability, strong organizational and time management skills, and attention to detail • Valid driver’s license in good standing and proof of auto insurance • Must pass a background check prior to start date (conducted only after an employment offer) Application Process: Email your resume by 11:59 p.m., October 4, 2025 with “Installer” in the subject line. DUTIES /RESPONSIBILITIES Operates Forklift regularly, safely and efficiently. Operates Carpet Cutting Machine in warehouse. Receives materials in the warehouse scheduled or unscheduled. Regularly moving up to 50lbs of recycled carpet or pad Monitors the staging and location of products using a hand scanner. Reports accidents or other safety situations to management. May be required to perform other related duties as requested including, but not limited to, assisting with other warehouse duties, office cleaning, product support within Vendor locations, etc. Essential Functions: Must be able to operate a forklift. Must be able to pass a background check. Must be able to sustain a workload consisting of exerting 10 to 50 pounds or more to move objects.
