Commercial Door & Hardware Installer Job description We are looking for a Technician to join our Field Service Team; this department performs door and hardware installs and repairs for our customers. This role requires delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive, professional demeanor in all interactions with customers, clients, and colleagues. Responsibilities Complete scheduled service requests within the scheduled timeframe. Install and service commercial steel frames, steel/wood doors, and architectural hardware. Perform onsite modification work on steel doors and frames if needed. Maintain professional demeanor and appearance with clients and customers while performing onsite work. Complete installation/service with as little disruption or impact to surroundings as possible. Carry out all work performed in the safest possible manner, following all onsite safety guidelines and requirements. Manage assigned schedule and document service and installation activities. Communicate with Project Manager or Salesperson if any issues arise before, after or while onsite. Repair, troubleshoot, and retrofit existing openings and products. Conduct service calls to assess issues and determine proper course of action. Complete service onsite if able using available tools, product and equipment. Communicate with Service Manager or Salesperson to assist in ordering product needed to complete service work. Qualifications 5 years experience a must Basic understanding of mechanical hardware, doors, and frames, preferred but not required High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years’ basic carpentry experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrate punctuality and attention to detail. Ability to follow written, visual (drawings or images), and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Perform repeated physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting (to waist and overhead), balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. The ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted and overhead and heavier weights with assistance. Position requires a valid driver’s license certificate. OSHA10 Certification (certification can be received after hire)

This role is hands-on, involving the preparation of industrial/ heavy duty wired ropes used in lifting, rigging, and hoisting applications. We are not requiring direct experience and we will train someone who is motivated to learn and grow with our company! (This is not an electrical/mechanical, cable assembly role.) Key Responsibilities of a Wire Rope Assembler: -Measure and possibly cut wire rope to required lengths. -Assemble/ attach fittings (like hooks, thimbles, shackles, and sockets) using mechanical or hydraulic swaging (pressing) machines. -Wrap wire rope around a pully wheel. -Inspect wire rope and hardware for defects. -Follow technical drawings or work orders to assemble wire rope slings and other lifting devices accurately. -Use of Tools and Machinery (We will train) -Ensure all completed assemblies meet safety, quality, and customer standards. -Assist with Inventory and Materials Handling. Skills and Requirements: -Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. -Ability to read and interpret measurements. -Ability to read a tape measure. -Comfort working with heavy equipment and materials. -Basic math skills. -Physical strength and stamina (Involves lifting, pulling, standing for long periods). -Must have a clear background. -Must have ability to commit to the work schedule.
