We are a small Sacramento law firm looking for a legal assistant or paralegal. Our practice focuses on civil litigation. You should be reliable, and detail-oriented. Have a solid work ethic and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will (1) be proficient in Outlook, Word, and Adobe Acrobat and other legal programs; (2) outstanding organizational skills; and (3) have the ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner with limited supervision. Experience with civil litigation and familiarity with case management/billing software is important. This is a full-time in person position. M-F 8:30 – 5:00 Job duties include: • Preparing and filing documents with the courts • Proofing and finalizing documents; • Maintaining paper and electronic files; • Receiving and distributing incoming correspondence; • Calendaring and other clerical related duties including data entry; and • Assisting existing and prospective clients. The candidate must be able to work alone and in a team environment. Punctuality and attendance are very important requirements for this position. You should also be able to deal with problems in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position.
