Job Title: 1st Class Inside Manual Machinist Location: Shipyard – Inside Shop Shift: Day Shift Summary: Seeking an experienced 1st Class Manual Machinist to perform precision machining, repair, and fabrication of ship components in our inside shop. Must be able to work independently from blueprints and specifications using lathes, mills, drill presses, and other manual equipment. Responsibilities: • Set up and operate manual machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.). • Fabricate and repair parts for pumps, valves, engines, and ship systems. • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. • Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and tolerances. • Follow all shipyard safety standards. Requirements: • 5+ years machining experience (shipyard/marine preferred). • Proficient with manual machining and measuring tools. • Strong blueprint reading skills. • Able to lift 50 lbs. and work in an industrial environment.
