Job Overview The Janitorial/Facility Custodian is responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of the cultivation and office spaces. This role ensures that all areas meet strict sanitation standards required for cannabis production and regulatory compliance. The custodian will work in constant communication with management to report issues, coordinate tasks, and maintain a clean and productive environment. Key Responsibilities -Perform routine cleaning of cultivation rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas. -Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors and surfaces to maintain a hygienic workspace. -Handle trash removal and recycling, ensuring proper disposal in accordance with state and local guidelines. -Safely handle, mix, and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer instructions and company policies. -Sanitize tools, equipment, and high-touch areas to prevent contamination. -Restock cleaning and restroom supplies as needed. -Safely work on ladders to clean vents, walls, light fixtures, and other elevated areas. -Operate a pressure washer for deep-cleaning tasks such as exterior surfaces, equipment, and walkways. -Use basic landscaping equipment (e.g., push mower, trimmer) for occasional outdoor maintenance such as trimming grass or clearing walkways. -Perform seasonal snow removal, including shoveling, salting, and operating small snow-removal equipment to keep entrances and walkways safe. -Assist with intake of orders and unloading freight deliveries, including operating a pallet jack to move heavy shipments and verifying deliveries for accuracy. -Monitor and promptly report any building maintenance issues (leaks, lighting, repairs) to management and the Director of Cultivation. -Follow all safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer and company guidelines. -Assist with occasional deep-cleaning projects and support team members during facility inspections. -Facility Equipment and Contractor Coordination -Perform basic maintenance and upkeep of facility equipment, ensuring that tools, cleaning machines, and other custodial equipment remain in good working order. -Schedule and coordinate with outside contractors for specialized maintenance or repairs when necessary. -Communicate equipment needs or malfunctions promptly to the Director of Cultivation to minimize downtime.
