ShareWaiterock Kennels is looking for a part time person to supervise our doggy day care play groups. You'll rotate through our exercise yards checking on dogs, their social skills, scooping poop, filling water buckets and swimming pools. Big dogs will jump on you so you need to be sturdy and a pack leader. We have different groups with large dogs, small dogs, senior dogs and mellow dogs. We have some dogs who don't embrace group play and you can take those out alone in a yard and play with them for a while. You will help to bring dogs in after exercise periods and sort them into their inside enclosures. You'll help check dogs in and out of daycare. This job requires you to be outside rain or shine so you need to be outdoorsy. Some experience with dogs is needed - you need to be able to tell the breeds one from another. We'd like you to be able to work 3-5 days per week in the mornings with the hours approximately from 7 am to noon. Great part-time job for a student with shifting school schedule. Ideally you could work Thursday through Sunday but we are flexible except for weekends - you need to work weekends. Please reply if you have interest and think you'd be happy playing with dogs. Please be aware that you need reliable transportation, we are not near public transportation.
