Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader - Great Benefits

Responsibilities and Duties
Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment, vehicles, and job sites
Perform landscape maintenance duties such as pruning, planting, irrigation repairs, and mowing
Assign daily tasks to Crew Members and oversee their work quality
Communicate with Supervisors regarding crew performance, equipment issues, and job-related concerns
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs when necessary
Apply chemicals and fertilizers properly and safely
Interact with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction
Support career development of Crew Members through coaching and mentoring
Manage site hours to maintain budget and control material usage
Complete daily documentation including time tracking, work performed, and vehicle inspections
Work with seasonal crews for snow and ice removal during winter months
Maintain cleanliness of shop, yard, and truck/trailer spaces
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of landscape maintenance experience required
Supervisory experience leading a team
Knowledge of landscape maintenance, irrigation systems, and horticulture practices
Ability to operate gas-powered equipment (mowers, blowers, hedgers, etc.)
Proficiency with smartphones and work applications
Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds daily
Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record (preferred)
Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)
Plant identification knowledge (preferred)
Work Schedule and Environment
This position is based at our headquarters in Southeast Portland
Work schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week with possible overtime and weekend hours during peak seasons.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions including extreme temperatures
Required safety equipment is provided at no cost (vests, glasses, gloves, hearing protection)
Travel between job sites in a company vehicle
Benefits & Pay Range
$21-$27 per hour, dependent upon experience
