Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Site Lead (residential superintendent / lead carpenter) to oversee daily operations on high-end residential remodels and additions. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for managing subcontractors, carpentry crews, and vendors while ensuring quality, schedule, and safety on-site. The position emphasizes reviewing site conditions, architectural drawings, and project details, rather than performing day-to-day carpentry. Candidates must live and work in the East Bay for reliable, daily access to job sites. Key Responsibilities -Manage day-to-day site operations, staff, subcontractors, and deliveries. -Maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring efficiency and quality. -Review and implement architectural drawings, details, and specifications. -Enforce safety procedures and ensure building code compliance. -Communicate regularly with project managers, architects, designers, and clients. -Anticipate and resolve on-site challenges with sound judgment. -Mentor carpentry staff and foster a collaborative, professional environment. -Maintain accurate records and updates using Buildertrend or similar software. Qualifications -5+ years of residential construction experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. -Strong background in carpentry (framing and finish) and knowledge of building codes. -Proven ability to manage schedules, coordinate trades, and lead site operations. -Skilled in interpreting and executing complex architectural plans. -Strong organizational, communication, and client-relations skills.Proficiency with scheduling tools, Excel, and project management platforms (Buildertrend preferred). OSHA certification preferred. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must currently live and work in the East Bay.
