We are looking for event staff for Formula 1 at Circuit of the America’s here in Austin! The event will take place Friday Oct 17-Sun Oct 19. This event will take place over three days bringing over 100,000 people each day. The positions are outside the track, including parking attendants, ticket scanners, rideshare greeters, and other operations related positions. Duties will include waiving cars, assisting with traffic flow, scanning parking passes and assisting with giving directions. It’s a very easy, outdoor job, that requires standing/walking, and long hours. Shift times vary, starting as early as 5am and run into the evening. Most shift start times are in the 8a-10a range, and are 8-10 hr shifts daily. Pay will be $15/hr, as well as a $100 bonus for staff who work all 3 days of the event (minimum of 8hr shift each day). OXARC has been providing welding and industrial supplies, as well as, medical and specialty gases since 1968. OXARC is headquartered in Spokane, Washington with 22 stores in WA, ID and OR. Job Summary: Performs routine daily acetylene production and cylinder filling activities. These activities include the operation and monitoring of process equipment, cylinder filling, material handling, and minor equipment maintenance. Follows industry and government guidelines and adhere to all company safety requirements. Duties include:  Perform visual inspection on all cylinders prior to filling.  Weigh all Acetylene cylinders to determine Acetone needs.  Record all residual and stray fulls from cylinders.  Perform hourly plant safety checks.  Refill Carbide hoppers when needed.  Track Carbide usage and inform management when inventory reaches re-order point.  Track Acetone inventory, inform management when inventory reaches re-order point.  Load Lime slurry for disposal.  Recover residual from all “out of test” cylinders prior to sending to re-qualification facility.  Perform PM’s on all associated equipment used for cylinder filling and inspection. As assigned.  Report monthly cylinder totals on approved tracking forms to the production supervisor. Requirements include:  Industry experience such as handling cylinders and/or previous knowledge of gases, Cylinder filling procedures, paperwork and plant operations is preferred.  Able to read and comprehend safety rules and regulations.  Able to operate hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.  Able to operate a forklift; general knowledge of common hand tools, power tools, and their proper use.  Able to lift/move 70 lbs; able to stand for most of the day, work in outdoor conditions.  Able to work independently.  You must pass drug screen and background check. Salary Range: Expected hiring salary is $23.00/hr - Swing Shift Position. The salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary for this position which is $22.00/hr.-$29.50/hr. The ideal individual will be responsible for inspections, initial services, and recurring maintenance and ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to required standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine inspections and property maintenance (e.g., Lock work, Yard care, Cleaning, Snow removal, Winterization, Repair, Maintenance). Secure vacant properties by changing locks, boarding windows, and addressing safety hazards. Take clear and timestamped before/after photos of all work completed. Maintain open communication with the coordination team regarding job status and issues. Handle emergency work orders, such as securing broken windows or water leaks. Requirements: Experience in property preservation, or field services preferred. Basic tools and equipment required (e.g., lawnmower, drill, smartphone or tablet for photos). Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete work independently. Strong time management and problem-solving skills. Must be able to pass background checks. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with property preservation platforms (e.g., PPW, Inspector Aide, or EZ Inspections etc.). Knowledge of preservation guidelines.
