This role is responsible for using advanced, non-machine-learning analytic techniques to investigate well-defined business questions, synthesize findings, and deliver actionable insights. Requirements Partner with the management team to ensure business questions are clearly defined, scoped, and actionable. Leverage domain knowledge of the cable/telecom industry to quickly understand issues and data context. Develop an analytic approach in collaboration with management to address business needs. Identify and apply key attributes and metrics relevant to reliability analysis. Extract data from warehouses using SQL and prepare analyses in Excel or other BI tools. Build tables, pivot reports, and visualizations using reporting tools. Proactively identify and flag potential data quality issues or questionable assumptions. Apply foundational statistical and analytic techniques, such as correlations, statistical checks, and exploratory visualizations. Recognize limitations of observational data and apply methods to mitigate misinterpretation (e.g., correlation vs. causation, regression to the mean, confounding, selection bias). Ensure rigor in unit measurements, derived metrics, and interpretation of results. Translate analytic findings into a clear, compelling narrative supported by charts, figures, and tables. Develop professional, polished presentations in PowerPoint, emphasizing readability and clarity. Seek feedback from stakeholders and adapt insights for diverse audiences, with sensitivity to organizational dynamics. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with emphasis on reliability, operations, or telecom preferred. Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and BI/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar). Strong foundation in statistics, with ability to apply appropriate analytic techniques. Excellent communication skills with proven ability to distill complex analyses into clear, actionable insights. Experience working in the cable/telecom industry is highly desirable. Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s preferred. Compensation Sand Cherry Associates based in Denver, CO is required by state law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a long term consulting engagement, with an hourly range of $85-95 per hour on 1099 or adjusted commensurate salary on W2. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role. The analyst will also work on tasks related to the implementation of new GAC’s with respect to the deferred population. In addition, the analyst will lead and implement key projects and be the functional expert on specific applications and processes. Requirements Role and Responsibilities · Define, develop, and implement Group Annuity Contract specific standard methodologies and procedures which align with benefit specifications and associated plan or client requirements and comply with new or existing federal and state regulatory laws. · Understand complex pension calculation concepts for plans with different benefit structures. · Properly administer contracts in accordance with the plan sponsor requirements, with a focus on the deferred population and executing benefit calculations. · Support administration system transformation and new cases including creating test plans, plan specifications, and administering calculation testing of existing and new cases. · Process and handle monthly payments, new payment set ups, death processing and monthly reconciliation of files. · Assist or handle complex cases. Provide appropriate paperwork for new payments including QDRO’s and benefit quoting. · Assist Transition team with onboarding of new pension risk transfer plans and validating data in servicing systems, including mapping of deferred data fields in onboarding files and testing of the integration between the administration system and the calculator. · Create sample calculations for confirmation with Plan Sponsors to create clear documentation of GAC interpretation of benefit calculations. · Implement process automation solutions to deliver system improvements. Validate systems and workflows to ensure all new processes are functioning correctly including conducting UAT for system modifications. Identify defects and define options for remediation. · Collaborate on project scope, issues, and options. Accurately plan and appropriately complete projects. Participate in accurate and complete testing of new system updates. · Identify, track and report issues in a timely manner. Promptly provide comments, feedback, and recommendations. · Deliver training to junior team members as needed. · Participate in delivering continuing training to other departments on benefit calculation topics as needed. · Develop and document procedure manuals for Retirement Support Services. · Complete all other tasks and projects. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of retirement plan administration experience, including in depth pension benefit calculation knowledge. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills; ability to deliver information in a concise manner. Advanced spreadsheet proficiency (Excel). POSITION SUMMARY: The Database Technician supports Tribal participation in major infrastructure projects by overseeing database management, project coordination, and financial tracking under the supervision of the Project Manager. This role ensures accurate data integration for regulatory compliance, environmental review, and engineering assessments while maintaining financial records, procurement oversight, and logistical support. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate will: • Maintain GIS databases, environmental records, and regulatory documentation while ensuring the accuracy, security, and accessibility of project-related data. • Provide administrative support for final presentations and compiling and submitting reports to federal, state, and Tribal partners. • Track cultural resource impact assessments to support preservation efforts. • Work alongside the Project Manager to ensure alignment between field operations and administrative workflows. • Coordinate daily database operations with the Tribal Civil Engineer and Natural Resources Department Director. • Provide logistical support to engineering review teams, environmental monitors, and cultural resource specialists. • Assist in processing timesheets, staffing requests, and equipment mobilization as part of the Tribal team’s participation in the project. • Monitor funding allocations, ensuring Tribal participation remains cost-effective and compliant. • Prepare financial summaries and expenditure reports for leadership review. • Assist with grant administration, procurement approvals, and budget forecasting for preconstruction and construction phases. • Maintain contract agreements and financial records aligned with DOT & PF and Tribal financial requirements. • Ensure all regulatory filings, permits, and compliance documentation are properly maintained. • Assist Tribal Civil Engineer and Project Manager in reviewing engineering plans, geotechnical data, and cultural resource findings. • Contribute to weekly and bi-weekly Tribal team meetings, assisting in progress tracking and interagency coordination.
