This position is based in the firm's Bethesda, MD-based office. Job Location: Hybrid Salary range: $90,000 - $125,000 Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Performs diversified accounting and tax assignments under the direction of supervisor, manager or partner including the preparation of individual, trust, corporate, partnership and S-corporation tax returns. Participates in planning, scheduling and supervising client engagements. Determines the extent of review required in a tax return and selects elements to be reviewed. Supervises and instructs one or more staff in work to be performed, reviews results, and direct necessary revisions. Meets time constraints and client deadlines. Preparation and organization of tax working papers. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. At least 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, demonstrating a progression in complexity of tax preparation and accounting tasks. Either hold a current and valid certified public accountant's license, or meet the requirements to sit for the CPA exam with a history of efforts to obtain licensure. Experience with international compliance forms is a plus. Proficiency in use of computer accounting and tax programs. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and timelines. Ability to work independently, use sound judgment and prioritize tasks.
