Hi There! I'm Greg, a professor at UCCS (50 years old), and the master bedroom of my condo is available to rent for $500/mo *including all utilities* (and internet/cable). I'm renting the room on an initial month-to-month basis to make sure all parties are happy, but open to longer-term lease after a few months of making sure things are kosher. Here are some particulars (please do read EVERYTHING and follow my directions EXACTLY if interested (this helps me to weed out scammers and folks that aren't serious): 1) The unit is unfurnished (totally empty aside from my bedroom - I had a renter who furnished the place recently move out), and I'd like to rent to someone with furniture and kitchen ware. 2) I will ONLY rent to ONE PERSON. 3) I am very quiet (but friendly and sociable), and absolutely require the same. I will limit house guests to once per week with no overnight guests (without permission - this is encoded into the lease). 4) If there is a “catch”, it is this: I am in the process of adopting a cat, and prefer not to have a dog in the condo. I also tend to travel a bit, especially over the summer. I’m looking for someone that likes cats and is willing to take care of my cat while I am gone (likely with a rent reduction, but I haven’t figured out the details yet). I will pay for everything – food, litter, any vet care, etc. I also understand that you may be travelling from time to time as well, and I don’t want to restrict this. If we are both gone, I will find another arrangement for the cat to be taken care of. 5) Preferences: over 30 (but no gender preference), work outside the home, Christian. If interested in the room, please do all of the following *by calling my cell and leaving me a message* (do NOT email/text me) at seven one nine - three zero one - eight four five one. a) Tell me a bit about yourself (this can be informal - where you are from, what you do for work, hobbies, etc.). b) Tell me important traits you are looking for in a roommate (don't be afraid to be very specific, and let me know of deal-breakers; I want you to be just as happy in my home as I am). c) Please confirm that you have read 1) - 4) above and agree to these items. You can also address item 5) if you'd like, but this isn't required. I will listen to your message within 24 hours and, if I think we may be a good match, will get in touch with you. If I do not call/email/text you back within 24 hours, this means that I don't think we are likely to be a good match. Please do not contact me more than once (but if I don't respond, this doesn't reflect negatively on you in any way :) ). Thanks so much, and happy home-hunting! :)
