Position: Part-Time Transportation Specialist to transport children Job Description: We are currently seeking a responsible and reliable part-time driver to transport children. As a driver for our organization, your primary responsibility will be ensuring the safe and timely pick up & drop off of children ages 0-17 to and from their designated locations. Key Responsibilities: *Safely operate a vehicle (we prefer no older than 10 years) to transport children to and from school, extracurricular activities, appointments, and other specified destinations. *Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a cautious and defensive driving approach at all times. *Ensure the comfort and safety of the children during transit. *Communicate effectively with Routing and Service Providers; and children of different ages or developmental levels. *Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure it is in good working condition and report any issues to the Director of Transportation. *Follow established procedures for handling emergencies or unforeseen situations during transportation. *Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior & exterior. REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria: *Valid Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, suitable for the type of vehicle they will be driving, and comply with all local driving regulations. *Clean Driving Record: A clean driving record is essential. Candidates should have no history of major traffic violations or accidents. *Background Check: All applicants must pass a thorough background check to ensure the safety of the children in their care. *Responsible and Trustworthy: The ideal candidate should be punctual, dependable, and demonstrate a high level of responsibility when transporting children. *Good Communication Skills: Clear communication with parents, guardians, and supervisors is crucial for this role. *Experience: Previous experience in child transportation or related fields is a plus but not mandatory. *This part-time position offers a flexible schedule.
