Job Type: Owner-Operator About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and reliable owner-operator with their own box truck and TSA compliance to join our logistics network. Responsibilities: Safely transport goods in box truck to assigned locations, ensuring all delivery schedules are met. Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with clients, including airport and government officials. Ensure your box truck is well- maintained, properly equipped, and ready for operations. Complete required paperwork for each delivery, including bills of lading and other documentation. Adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements, including TSA compliance for airport access. This driver position safely operates a 24-foot box truck and/or Stake Bed Truck and is responsible for loading, unloading and transporting Residential waste containers, to and from customers' homes. Driver is also responsible for breaking down containers to optimize space in truck. Driver is also responsible for removal of discarded items from customers' homes, such as furniture, appliances, mattresses, etc. Drivers will navigate driveways, alleyways, lots, high traffic roadways and may operate in tight overhead environments. Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential, to successfully perform this job. Drivers must be able to function a smart phone device. Required hours may be up to the legal limits allowed and may require weekend work. Work hours will vary by route. Average day for our drivers is between 9 to 10 hours. Duties and Responsibilities • Operates vehicle in accordance with the company’s Rules and Safety. As well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws. • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and documents checks on standard VIR (Vehicle Inspection Report.). • Maintains a clean and safe vehicle. • Immediately reports any unsafe situations or service related issues to Manager or Dispatch. • Participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by Preferred Staffing or Manager. • Works closely with Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices. • Notifies Manager of any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage. • Notifies Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed lots, street, alleyways or potential safety hazards. • Communicates customer requests to Dispatch or Manager. • Completes and submits customer tickets as required. • Follows route assignments as directed and completes end of day documentation. • Performs all duties as scheduled by Manager or Dispatch and assisting other drivers as directed to meet customer needs. • Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg agility. • Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 75 pounds frequently. • Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and lifting up to 75 pounds. and pushing or pulling items such as furniture, appliances, etc.. • Normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a GPS monitored vehicle. • Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday. Owners, We are a smaller company looking for more owner ops to haul our dedicated freight! Freight is very consistent in volume, and dedicated. Dry van freight, not very time consuming since 50% of it is drop and hook, and usually comes in round trips. I do not like to waste anyone's time so I will be as transparent as possible. Freight: Mostly west coast, CO, CA, AZ, NV, OR, WA, ID, WA, OR, TX, as well as occasional midwest and south. All our loads start in CO and come back to CO. This is a OTR position ONLY, we do NOT do regional. Gross: This part is ENTIRELY up to you. Our owners gross between (min) $6,500 to $8,500 a week when doing our dedicated freight. If you stay out 5 days, you cannot make this gross. The freight I have is there, consistent, all the time, the rest is up to you. You get paid for any detention, layovers, as well as clean inspection bonuses. Deductions: We take 12% from gross. Our trailer rental is $275 a week, and cargo is $300 a week. We do offer fuel cards and we get discounts everywhere. Prepass ( if you don't have your own ), is $25 a month, and ELD (we use Keep Trucking ), is $45 a month. What we are looking for: If your MVR is NOT clean, and full of tickets, accidents, or violations, please do not contact us, we will not hire you. Our safety score is perfect and we intend to keep it that way. If you have LESS than 2 years of experience, I cannot hire you due to insurance requirements.
