We are looking for an experienced Metallurgist with knowledge of material testing and analysis. Ideally, you will know manufacturing processes, materials, and substances, possess strong analytical skills, and understand material and failure analysis techniques. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience. Only candidates legally authorized to work in the U.S. will be considered.  Responsibilities: Answer technical questions, analyze inspection data, and review lab test results Conduct failure analysis on materials from manufacturing, engineering, or quality Technical control of sediment and metallurgical process, including setup, auditing, and writing technical specifications and control sheets Direct production and quality control team members on proper testing procedures and review Met Lab test results Engage with internal and external customers to determine application requirements and solve related problems Conduct and oversee the process of conducting chemical analysis on new parts Instruct Met Lab Techs on how to operate lab equipment safely and conduct testing with a minimal amount of interruption to the production process Conduct quarterly and annual tests and prepare reports Manage lab schedule to ensure coverage during regular hours, overtime, and weekends Schedule standing shift meetings, including safety talks Ensure lab equipment is operating correctly and calibrations are completed regularly Requirements A degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science is highly preferred. This role is pivotal in ensuring that quality issues are addressed effectively and transparently, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compliance. The CAPA Manager will not own the CAPA actions themselves but will be responsible for overseeing the CAPA process runs in a manner that is compliant with ISO 13485 and associated regulations, ensuring timely and effective execution by CAPA owners, and reporting progress and effectiveness to senior management. Listed below are the major responsibilities of the role and a brief description of some of the key tasks to be performed. This list is not totally exhaustive. This is a primarily an on-site position with some hybrid working at OrganOx’s Giralda Farms US site to ensure the administration and reporting of our Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system is lead effectively. You’ll handle diagnostics, maintenance, and full repairs on brakes, transmissions, rear-ends, clutches, diesel engines, electrical systems, and welding or fabrication work. You’ll remove, fix, reinstall, and adjust parts, inspect your work, and make sure everything meets safety rules and regulations. You’ll also lead the crew, assign tasks, check work, guide on tough repairs, and help train others. You’ll manage parts using TMT, handle after-hours repairs when needed, respond to service calls, and keep maintenance records up to date. You’ll open and close the shop and make sure everything runs smoothly and safely. We’re looking for someone with solid diesel mechanic experience (lead or supervisory experience is a plus), strong mechanical, electrical, and welding skills, and the ability to use diagnostic tools and repair software (TMT a bonus). You need a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or willing to get one) and the flexibility to work varied hours, including after-hours calls. What You’ll be doing as a Diesel Mechanic: Supervise shift mechanics by assigning tasks, verifying completed work, and assisting with training and disciplinary actions as needed. Authorize and oversee after-hours repairs in alignment with company policies and procedures. Manage parts inventory using TMT, including ordering, receiving, and tracking of parts and supplies. Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and full-service repairs on heavy-duty vehicles and trailers, including work on brakes, transmissions, rear-ends, clutches, diesel engines, electrical systems, and welding/fabrication tasks. Remove, repair, reinstall, and adjust vehicle components; conduct thorough final inspections to ensure all repairs meet federal and state safety regulations. Complete detailed work orders and maintain accurate maintenance and repair records. Respond to on-site service calls and provide support as needed. Collaborate with technicians and provide guidance on complex repairs and troubleshooting. Open and close the maintenance facility, ensuring readiness and security of operations. Diesel Mechanic Required Qualifications: Proven experience as a diesel mechanic; supervisory or lead technician experience preferred.
