Position Title: Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver Reports To: Dispatch / Operations Manager Location: Nationwide (based on routes) Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver to join our team. The OTR driver will be responsible for transporting goods across long distances, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations, and representing the company with professionalism on the road and at customer locations. Key Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers to transport freight across regional and national routes. Deliver loads on time while following company schedules and customer requirements. Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and cargo. Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and state regulations. Maintain accurate driver logs, electronic logging device (ELD) entries, and trip records. Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or delays. Provide excellent customer service at pickup and delivery points. Conduct routine maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly. Qualifications & Requirements Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A). Minimum of 2 or more years of OTR driving experience preferred. Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safe driving practices. Ability to drive extended hours, handle long-haul schedules, and adapt to variable routes. Strong communication and time-management skills.
