Location: Rensselaer, New York – ON SITE **This role will require the successful candidate to be on-site in Rensselaer, NY** **This role is not eligible for relocation assistance** Description: Zifo is working with a large pharma client to build a team of laboratory IT (lab computing, Lab IT systems, QA, Validation) professionals. This role will require a 100% on-site presence in Rensselaer, NY. Requirements Responsibilities: Create and support review of validation life cycle documents for Analytical Instrument Qualification and computerized systems Experience in validation of analytical instrument systems (e.g. benchtop analytical systems - spectroscopy, chromatography, protein analyzers, next gen sequencers, PCRs etc.) Consult clients on data integrity requirements in Analytical Instruments and perform verification of DI in the systems Author validation life cycle documents for client’s review and approval Route drafted documents for review Route reviewed documents for workflow approval Request approval workflows to Doc Control Execute approved protocols in GxP facility Understand SDLC process and SDLC methodology such as agile etc. Work with global team in delivering validation project deliverables Manage change controls necessary for project life cycle through process compliance and interface with Quality Assurance change control area Author change control documents for client review and approval Qualifications: Prior experience with benchtop instrument experience is a must Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree or equivalent in a scientific or health care field. 7+ years' experience in a Validation/ Quality assurance / control role, preferably in the pharmaceutical /Life sciences industry preferred. Job Duties: Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, and examining functionality, as well as electrical testing as required. Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complies with legal requirements Reviewing blueprints, electrical schematics, and specifications to compare to produced goods and generating an inspection report to document all deviations. Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into a quality database Assist in training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence Proposing improvements to the production process Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and electrical schematics. Comprehension and operation of basic electrical measuring equipment. Constantly inspect product as it is being produced to ensure it meets the benchmark standard and customer expectations and stop production immediately if out of tolerance deviation occurs. Verify all on line inspection sheets and production documents prior to and during production. Sign off on all changeover check sheets as quickly as possible to verify all details are correct or to minimize the amount of product to be put on hold. Place all out of specification products and/or raw materials on hold using an orange QC Hold tag. Conduct and report daily GMP audits and corrective measures on designated shift. Perform a walkthrough with the shift supervisor at least once per week. Assist in maintaining retained production samples for each product produced. As needed, assist with training of new employees and refresher training of existing employees in GMP, HACCP and other certifications as needed. As needed, assist with customer complaints investigations. As needed, assist with sample preparation and shipping. As needed, assist in keeping Process Sheets up to date with production notes and speeds. As needed, assist with required Quality Assurance reports. As needed, conduct taste tests to ensure production run matches previous runs/samples. As needed, assist with R/D tasks and production sample runs/trials and report. Requirements 1 - 2 years working in a production or food manufacturing facility Requires basic reading, writing and math skills.​ Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment Must be able to move/lift up to 50 lbs.
