Description

The Quality Control Technician plays an integral role in ensuring the quality, safety, and consistency of products while supporting the overall mission of the Quality Department. This position is responsible for inspecting and testing raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products to verify compliance with established specifications. It also involves conducting ATP testing in production areas to confirm that rooms and equipment have been properly cleaned and sanitized. In addition, the role includes carrying out laboratory techniques such as sampling, testing, recording, and reporting data, as well as maintaining laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. The Quality Control Technician assists with all stages of documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements, while also supporting the Quality Team across a wide range of projects. This position is vital to protecting the accuracy, consistency, and efficiency of experiments, maintaining an organized laboratory environment, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Prior experience in quality control, laboratory procedures, or regulatory compliance is preferred, and strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and teamwork are essential. Laboratory experience with advanced techniques such as HPTLC, HPLC, or ICP-MS is considered a significant advantage and highly valued in this role. Requirements Responsibilities:  Sampling and sending out raw Ingredients to a 3rd party lab for Quality approval. Ensuring production staff are following cGMP regulations. Checking that products / raw ingredients meet required quality and food safety standards. Raw Ingredient identification by FTIR. Issuing labels to production  Assisting the Quality Manager as needed. Inspecting newly received raw ingredients for food safety. Maintain all raw ingredient documentation for auditing purposes and collect samples for shelf life and laboratory analysis. Report to QC Manager specific information related to product information from R&D or production. Conduct quality calibrations, internal audits and project assignments in timely, safe and professional manner. Report results, issues and roadblocks to the Quality Manager. Convey any instrumentation issues to QC Manager for review and resolution. Report QC Manager of unusual product observations and analytical results while analyzing or sample handling. Comply with established quality, safety, and environmental procedures and policies. Skills:  Basic knowledge of cGMP. Training in Quality Systems. Nutraceutical background and experience in dietary supplements preferred. Basic knowledge of 21 CFR 111 and auditing processes.
