Job Title: Entry-Level Quality Assurance Specialist Part-Time or Full-Time, Remote Pay: $35 per hour  Hours: 15-25 hours per week, with potential for up to 35 hours on occasion. Support ongoing tasks, including proofreading, data entry, and other detailed-oriented work, with a commitment to accuracy. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred. 1-2 years of experience in a relevant role (e.g., QA, tech support, data entry) preferred but not required. The Sr. Quality Control Specialist performs first article, in-process, and final component inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), manual inspection equipment, and visual inspection. They will translate engineering requirements to quality control plans and develop CMM programs as needed. This role will ensure compliance with quality requirements and ensure that manufactured or procured products meet specified standards before they progress to next phase of production or customer delivery. Major Duties and Responsibilities: • Interpret engineering drawings and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality requirements. • Prepare quality control plans for components based on engineering specifications. • Develop Coordinate Measuring Machine programs. • Set-up and inspect components using CMM’s. • Utilize various manual measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, and other hand-held measuring devices. • Utilize vision-based equipment such as optical comparators for measurement of parts or part characteristics. • Evaluate inspection results to determine conformance to requirements. • Complete final inspection reports and first article inspection reports. • Upload inspection records to company server. • Document, track, and complete nonconformance reports. • Perform basic weekly and daily maintenance of CMM instruments. Track CMM performance to ensure calibration is accurate. • Understand basic statistical techniques sufficient for evaluation of measurement data trends. • Understand and follow Centrus quality procedures. • Train others on inspection techniques and tools when required. • Keep machines and work area clean and organized. • Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines. • Practice safe working behaviors and adhere to safety policies, guidelines, and procedures. • Other projects as assigned Requirements • High School diploma or equivalent. • Minimum of five years of experience in dimensional inspection and CMM programming. • Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14.5. • Programming and operation experience using Zeiss Calypso software and CMMs. • Experience inspecting tight tolerance, high value components. • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates. • Ability to execute tasks assigned with minimum supervision. • Requires great attention to detail and the ability to read mechanical drawings and view CAD models and specifications. • Ability to write procedures and reports • Good communication skills with co-workers, engineering, and various support personnel. • Strong computer software skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. • Must possess a DOE Q-level security clearance. Desired Qualifications: • Modeling experience with SolidWorks. • Experience in the use of statistical tools such as Minitab. The pesticide IPM technician job consists of managing and controlling all aspects of integrated pest management. This is a dynamic position because of the diversity of pest management to be done by working with different kinds of chemicals and applying the chemicals for the right amount of time. Our operation includes Retail, Wholesale contractor’s yard, Wholesale Nursery growing and shipping nationwide. We are looking for an experienced, licensed applicator for our nursery. Applicant must be experienced with insecticide, fungicide and herbicide applications. Our crops are woody ornamentals, perennials, field and container grown. Ability to keep good records and have safe working habits. We have very good equipment, air blast sprayers, tank sprayers on tractors and trucks. The perfect applicant would have minimum of 3 years working in a nursery doing pesticide application. Spanish / English a plus. Compensation based on experience.
