This role will ensure compliance with quality requirements and ensure that manufactured or procured products meet specified standards before they progress to next phase of production or customer delivery. Major Duties and Responsibilities: • Interpret engineering drawings and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality requirements. • Prepare quality control plans for components based on engineering specifications. • Develop Coordinate Measuring Machine programs. • Set-up and inspect components using CMM’s. • Utilize various manual measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, and other hand-held measuring devices. • Utilize vision-based equipment such as optical comparators for measurement of parts or part characteristics. • Evaluate inspection results to determine conformance to requirements. • Complete final inspection reports and first article inspection reports. • Upload inspection records to company server. • Document, track, and complete nonconformance reports. • Perform basic weekly and daily maintenance of CMM instruments. Track CMM performance to ensure calibration is accurate. • Understand basic statistical techniques sufficient for evaluation of measurement data trends. • Understand and follow Centrus quality procedures. • Train others on inspection techniques and tools when required. • Keep machines and work area clean and organized. • Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines. • Practice safe working behaviors and adhere to safety policies, guidelines, and procedures. • Other projects as assigned Requirements • High School diploma or equivalent. • Minimum of five years of experience in dimensional inspection and CMM programming. • Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14.5. • Programming and operation experience using Zeiss Calypso software and CMMs. • Experience inspecting tight tolerance, high value components. • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates. • Ability to execute tasks assigned with minimum supervision. • Requires great attention to detail and the ability to read mechanical drawings and view CAD models and specifications. • Ability to write procedures and reports • Good communication skills with co-workers, engineering, and various support personnel. • Strong computer software skills. About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented PLM Analyst with proven expertise in asbestos testing. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) analysis of bulk asbestos samples and have formal training or certification in the field. Key Responsibilities: Perform asbestos analysis of bulk building materials using PLM in accordance with regulatory methods. Accurately identify and quantify asbestos fibers. Prepare and analyze samples with a high degree of precision and attention to detail. Document and report findings in compliance with laboratory quality assurance standards. Work independently or collaboratively within a laboratory team. Qualifications: Demonstrated experience conducting PLM asbestos analysis. Must have completed training through the McCrone Research Institute or hold documented approval/sign-off from another accredited laboratory.
