Requirements Occupational Therapist Requirements: Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy (OT) college or university Unencumbered Occupational Therapy (OTR/L) license and registration in New York Conduct home visit assessments for referred patients, providing direct care to evaluate medical conditions, functional capabilities, limitations, and rehabilitation potential Basic computer literacy skills Proficient in EMR documentation (experience with Hello Note preferred but not required) Interest in working with both Pediatric and Geriatric patients (preferred but not required) Excellent communication skills with office staff and fellow therapists Maintain up-to-date CPR certification and adhere to all safety protocols Manage a minimum caseload of 4-5 patients (preferred but not required) Benefits Why join us? Full Time, Weekday Visits Bolivar & Buffalo, MO and surrounding areas Pay Range: $65,000 - $80,000 As a Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant, you will deliver direct support to your patients. This includes monitoring their condition before, during, and after therapy sessions, facilitating various activities aimed at enhancing their physical abilities, documenting their advancements, and communicating patient progress to the physical therapist. We welcome Physical Therapists with specific certifications such as dry needling, manipulations, etc. You will work in a clinic with 1-2 PTAs and manage an average patient load of 14 patients per day. Job Duties & Responsibilities Evaluate patients' health and physical condition, define their goals, and plan appropriate treatments that take into account their unique physical needs. Implement and manage individualized therapy programs designed to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Use a variety of techniques to assist with pain management, such as heat/cold therapy, hands-on therapy, and therapeutic exercises. Monitor and document patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as required; provide status reports and recommendations to doctors and other healthcare professionals. Educate patients and their families about what to expect and how to cope with the recovery process; provide them with home-based exercises and strategies that support their recovery and prevent re-injury. Continually evaluate treatments to ensure that they are comprehensive and effective, and modify as necessary. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to discuss patient progress and develop coordinated care plans. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies. They provide updates on interventions and patient progress during designated meetings, and also contribute to the screening and evaluation procedures. Pay Range: $85,000 - $100,000 Physical therapists offer services that aid in the restoration of functionality, enhancement of mobility, alleviation of pain, and prevention of permanent physical disabilities in patients dealing with injuries or illnesses. They work towards the restoration, maintenance, and promotion of overall fitness and health. Their patient base consists of accident victims and individuals affected by disabling conditions including but not limited to low back pain, arthritis, heart disease, fractures, head injuries, and cerebral palsy.
