We are helping an innovator in AI technology hire reliable Data Collection Drivers to assist with a mapping and video recording project. In this role, you will independently operate a company-provided vehicle to map and record locations during shifts between 1PM and 10PM, with 25%–50% of driving at night. You’ll also be responsible for managing and securely handling the data collected each shift. The ideal candidate is a safe, dependable, and professional driver with commercial driving experience, a clean record, and the ability to operate independently for long hours, including at night. You are detail-oriented, comfortable handling digital data securely, and capable of following strict safety and project guidelines. Operate the vehicle safely for 8–10 hours per day, including during night shifts. Record and map specified locations according to instructions. Manage, organize, and securely handle collected data each shift. Monitor data collection and provide accurate reports throughout the shift. Follow all safety protocols and project requirements. Operate the vehicle for 8 to 10 hours per day, including during night conditions. Ensure the vehicle is driven safely and efficiently during both day and night hours. Record and map specified locations as instructed. Work alongside a second driver but complete all vehicle operations solo during your designated shift. Available shifts (can include weekend days): AM - 6:00AM-2:30PM $20-$25/hr PM - 2:30PM-11:00PM $24-$28/hr As a Safety Driver, you'll: Operate autonomous vehicles safely and lawfully to collect critical data on system performance and environmental factors. Interact professionally with riders, engineers, and company operations leaders to provide feedback and insights. Monitor vehicle performance and conduct in-field testing to ensure operational safety. Prepare vehicles daily for in-field operations, including safety checks and system readiness. Submit detailed reports to support system advancements and operational improvements. Be prepared for the actions of other drivers and pedestrians as well as for unexpected events. Be alert and distraction-free while in vehicles. JOB SUMMARY: With direction from the Director of Manufacturing, the position is accountable for safety, quality, productivity, cost performance, employee relations in a high-performance work team environment. Input required for capital improvements and budget preparation. Job demands monitoring production performance and implementing processes, procedures, and methods to improve results in all key functional areas. Position is responsible for implementing and maintaining best manufacturing practices and regulatory compliance for all production activities. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned) Actively manage the molding processes to verify compliance with customer demands and priorities including, but not limited to: • Champion a culture of safety in the organization. • Conduct interviews make recommendations for hire, and train new plant operators and technicians. • Provide guidance and insight to leadership to develop buy-in to improvement opportunities. • Coordinate production scheduling to ensure customer demand is matched with minimal overtime, inventory, and overall reduced costs. • Mentor shift supervisors as they work to improve in their respective disciplines. • Use data to drive decisions regarding improvement activities, downtime reduction, and quality improvement projects. • Support activity to ensure all proper documentation has been completed for new mold/program qualifications. This is to include IQ/OQ/PQ, APQP, and other qualification activities. • Build and maintain productive employee relationships, driving employee satisfaction. Provide direction, training, and development as needed. Provide coaching, counseling, or discipline as needed. Recommend disciplinary action to plant manager and review disciplinary action by supervisors for effectiveness and consistency. Work with HR to address employee concerns and issues. • Work with internal and external resources to support the development, installation, and qualification of new automation/equipment. • Support plant in continuous improvement initiatives, such as 5S with safety, 6 Sigma, Kaizen events, and lean manufacturing. • Facilitate the tool room activities, schedule, and priorities. Requirements Direct supervision responsibility of coordinators/shift supervisors including the areas of hiring and promotion recommendations; planning and performance management, and training. Indirectly involved in hiring, performance management, and disciplining decisions regarding other department employees.  Minimum Qualification Standards: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Management. • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.  • Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools to drive improvement. • Previous work experience of 12 years or more, in a field directly related to this position will be considered equivalent for the above. • Solid understanding in mold construction, plastics processing, materials, assembly, SPC, problem solving and computer software programs is desirable. • Available for 24 hr. assistance if needed. Job Duties On the RECEIVING side, you will inspect items per the written policy, and receive or reject them using a barcode gun. Once received, you will use this barcode gun to locate the inventory location, and move the items to that location, either by hand cart, or forklift. On the SHIPPING side, you will review the barcode gun for the next order to fill, go to that location, and pick the parts required, scanning the locations as you go with the barcode gun. You will then transport the items, by wheeled cart, pallet jack, or forklift, and package them for shipment. Once orders have been packaged, you will schedule their shipments either via UPS WorldShip or via our fright consolidator CH Robinson. If the orders are to ship via truck, you will load them into the trucks when they arrive via hand truck or forklift as required.
