Heat Tech Industrial is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter/Blaster to join our team. We offer TOP PAY and GREAT BENEFITS to qualified individuals! This position primarily requires working on various industrial coatings and abrasive blasting tasks in our fabrication shop in Sanford, Michigan. Key Responsibilities: Prepare surfaces for coating, including cleaning, sanding, and masking. Perform abrasive blasting operations to specified standards, ensuring surface cleanliness and profile. Mix and apply coatings, ensuring compliance with product specifications and industry standards. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment and performing tasks. Monitor job progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation as required. Collaborate with team members to ensure the timely completion of projects. Requirements Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial painting and blasting. Strong knowledge of coating materials, methods, and safety standards. Ability to read and interpret technical data sheets and instructions. Experience in using spray equipment, sandblasting equipment, and other relevant tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. OSHA 10/30 or safety training certifications are preferred. Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in various environmental conditions. Acquire familiarity with equipment and develop the skills necessary for effective surface preparation. Become well-versed in the materials necessary for surface preparation and learn the skills required to use them. Prepare and mask the bus shell to safeguard against overspray. Collaborate closely with painters and management to fully understand quality paint standards, ensuring that the paint finishes produced by the department are of the highest possible quality. Develop the knowledge and skills to perform touch-ups on painted surfaces, along with buffing paint finishes. Requirements What you need to be successful: Prior experience in paint production is preferred but not mandatory. Capable of reading and adhering to basic measurements as well as verbal and written instructions. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required. Must be able to stand for extended periods and carry out repetitive tasks for an eight (8) hour shift.
