Soldering Technician Location: Kearny Mesa/San Diego Salary: $24.00/hour Schedule: 6 AM - 2:30 PM, Mon - Friday Quick Summary: Assembles cable and wire harness assemblies, box builds, kitting and other products completely from start to finish by performing the following tasks and duties under indirect supervision. *Please simply respond to this advertisement with your resume *I will then reach out to set up a time to chat Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Reads work orders, follows production documentation and/or sample assemblies, and/or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.  Performs the following tasks: labeling, wire cutting, stuffing, crimping, bag and tag, soldering, potting, IDC, SCSI, heat shrink, pc board soldering, backshelling, harnessing, harness board construction, box builds, kitting, create wire lists, “special projects”, continuity testing, and pin extraction.  Assist in the QMS and the commitment for continuous improvement.  Other duties may be assigned.  Must be proficient in all tasks under indirect supervision to be considered for the position of Production Assembler Lead. Knowledge/Skills  Knowledge IPC 610/ 620, J-STD-001 certification preferred  Must have good hand/eye coordination and the ability to use microscopes  Attention to detail / must be able to read and interpret blueprints  For color coding purposes, must distinguish colors.  Ability to use hand tools- long nose pliers, side cutter, and soldering iron.  Capable of following both verbal and written instructions  Ability to compute measurements accurately Education/Experience  High School Diploma or equivalent manufacturing work related experience  1-2 years experience in electro- mechanical assembly  Basic Computer skills required Physical Demands:  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. To maintain product quality the inspector must be able to read blueprints and other written specifications, use standard measuring devices, follow production procedures and instructions, and record information as required. Inspectors mark, tag, or note problems on products per company procedures. Inspectors document all nonconforming products. If the product is acceptable, the inspector certifies it.  Materials inspectors check products by sight, sound, or feel to locate imperfections such as cuts, scratches, and missing pieces.
