The ideal candidate will have: -Knowledge of sub-assemblies -Basic knowledge of reading schematics -Cable building experience -Knowledge of basic electronic components, motors, encoders, limits -Understanding of basic electronics – voltages, polarity, multimeter -Soldering experience Skills: -Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Excellent analytical skills, both data analysis and critical thinking -Ability to multitask and set priorities according to current demands -Experience with hand tools -Ability to deliver solutions in tight deadlines Qualifications: -1-3 years experience as a technician -Experience working on large complex systems (cars, airplanes, buses, trains, etc.) -Machine shop experience Preferred Experience: -Experience working on large semiconductor equipment (CVD, PVD, etching, etc.) is a plus -Forklift certification is a plus About Sigray Sigray is a rapidly growing business based in Benicia, CA, that manufactures X-ray sources, optics, and systems. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of various tools and machines. Responsibilities: Operate metalworking machines such as chop saw, table saw, drill presses, and grinders. Perform welding processes such as MIG and TIG welding. Can weld aluminum, steel and stainless. Measure and mark materials for cutting and fabrication. Layout, cut, shape, assemble, and join metal components using hand tools and power tools. Perform quality control checks on finished products.
