We are a busy miscellaneous and structural steel fabrication shop looking to hire reliable and experienced Layout/Fitters and motivated Shop Help to join our growing team. Projects include stairs, railings, platforms, beams, embeds, and more. Steel Layout/Fitter Duties: Read and interpret shop drawings, accurately lay out and fit steel parts (stairs, railings, etc.), use tape measures, squares, levels, and other hand tools, tack weld or assist in positioning parts for final welding, work closely with welders and supervisor to meet deadlines, and maintain a clean and safe work area. Shop Help / Laborer Duties: Use hand and power tools (grinders, drills, etc.), material prep, assist with general tasks, load/unload materials, and maintain a clean and organized work area. Requirements: Knowledge of structural and miscellaneous. steel, Must be dependable and eager to learn, Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently, Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and handle physical work, Must follow safety procedures and use PPE.
