We are seeking Full Time Warehouse lead staff to join our leading and award winning commercial bakery in Signal Hill. Be reliable with good time and attendance and take pride in the quality of your work. Be a team player above all. INVENTORY MGMT DUTIES •Provide safety, security, and inventory control leadership while maintaining a focus on providing exceptional customer service. •Work closely with production and purchasing coordinators to effectively manage and plan material demand and continuous supply flow. •Ensure that all warehouse personnel follow policies and procedures for inventory-handling. •Stock inventory into locations using the company FIFO (first in first out) method and log into warehouse database. •Manage best before dates and inventory rotation. •Ensure to review food safety, useable shelf life when receiving products. •Perform inventory cycle counts and ensure accuracy of the full cycle count process. •Maintain LOT number tracking log to ensure all products can be accurately traced should there be any product recalls or concerns. •Investigate and resolve any variances between inventory reports and physical inventory. •Research missing inventory and establish plans to eliminate shrinkage and loss. •Ensures all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and company food and working safety policies and procedures are followed and audits processes accordingly. •Follow all the employee handbook policies. SHIPPING AND RECEIVING DUTIES You have to be certified in driving a forklift and have a valid California drivers license with a clean driving record •Understand, learn and follow all shipping and receiving guidelines, including GMP, shipping and receiving procedures. •Unload/Load incoming and outgoing inventory from trucks. •Pick inventory for shipment to customers or to stage for production. •Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods. •Validates and reconciles all products when first received against purchase orders to ensure accuracy of shipment. Any discrepancy to report to supplier and manager. •Store and segregate all allergens raw material/products away from the non-allergen items. •Maintain LOT number tracking finished goods log to ensure all products can be accurately traced to each customer product is shipped to should there be any product recalls or concerns. •Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies. •Organize warehouse so that all items are assigned to an area. •Maintain safe and clean work environment by constantly maintaining equipment and resources. •Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager. •Required to make pickups and deliveries to our customers and suppliers as necessary using a company van. •Direct warehouse personnel as necessary. •Protect and maintain company assets. •Follow, train and promote all safety policies and procedures and notify manager of any unsafe act immediately. •All other duties as assigned. Would be an asset if you're handy with fixing things Prefer you are able to communicate in both English and Spanish. You must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
