Forklift Operator - Inventory Specialist (Hayward, CA) (hayward / castro valley)

Craftsman Packaging, Inc. We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience in receiving raw product, distribution and materials handling, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. Duties: Operate forklifts and other equipment. Perform order picking tasks, including the use of pallet jacks, to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to OSHA regulations for safety. Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Participate in training sessions for different equipment or procedures as needed. Qualifications Previous forklift experience with a focus on safety. Familiarity with warehouse workflow is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job duties. Excellent attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management. Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes is beneficial. A valid forklift operator certification is required.
