We are a precision CNC Machine Shop looking for a motivated Shop Helper to join our team. This is an entry-level role with opportunities to learn and grown in the machining trade. Responsibilities: Assist skilled machinists by supplying tools, materials, and parts. Clean machines, equipment, and work areas. Perform routine general maintenance, including lubricating machines. Help lift, position, and move materials and parts. Perform basic assembly and hardware installation (bolts, nuts, etc.). Grind, de-burr, cut, or trim material as needed (saws, grinders, drills). Assist in supervised setups and operate CNC machines at a basic level. Follow verbal and written instructions accurately. Other general shop duties as assigned. Must be available for overtime when needed. Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Ability to read and understand safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals). Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly. Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and working around machinery. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and reliable attendance are a must. Read and interpret blueprints (GD&T knowledge required). Load and run programs, monitor displays, and adjust as needed. Change cutting tools, adjust setups, and measure parts to ensure conformance. Use precision inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, gage pins, and dial indicators. Troubleshoot and communicate program/machine issues to supervisors/programmers. May perform limited conventional machining. Follow all shop safety rules and keep work areas clean. Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed. Accurately and consistently interact with our ERP system. We are a paperless shop. Qualifications: High school diploma, technical training, or equivalent work experience. Minimum 1 year of CNC machining experience in a shop environment or a Certificate from a Technical CNC Training program. Proficiency with GD&T and blueprint reading. Strong math skills, including geometry and trigonometry. Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment with PPE.
