Assistant Fabricator /Artisan High-end furniture and design company seeks a talented, creative, craftsperson to join our team of skilled fabricators and furniture makers. This is a dynamic role where you'll collaborate with our experienced team, solve complex design challenges, assemble finished pieces, and work with diverse materials to create bespoke pieces. Technical Competencies: • High school or equivalent education preferred. • Have 1+ year or more of MIG Welding experience. • Production welding with sheet metal experience preferred. • Must demonstrate the capability of welding sheet metal products by passing welding test. • Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and engineering specifications. • Basic reading, writing and numerical ability. • Proficient in using measuring devices as required for product inspection. • Available and willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as production demands dictates. • Must be able to work with minimal supervision. As a maintenance mechanic, you will be responsible for keeping facility equipment in good working condition. Responsibilities: • Ensure all equipment repairs and installations are performed in compliance with food safety requirements. • Communicate with supervisor regarding any issues or concerns. • Ensure mechanical systems are in good condition to prevent downtime. • Ensure all work orders are completed on time. • Perform weekly inspections to identify any deficiencies or concerns and report findings to the maintenance supervisor. • Follow company safety and food safety policies. • Use lockout/tagout procedures when working on equipment. • Assist with other repairs or tasks as needed. • PPE is required. • Additional tasks may be assigned. Requirements: • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience • Electrical experience • Troubleshooting skills • Read, write, and speak English (Spanish is a plus) • Use hand tools • Solve problems using collected data • Understand lockout/tagout procedures • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
