Summary We are seeking a Shop assistant to join our team at Allied Mechanical Wisconsin. In this role, You will pick up and drop off materials, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, unloading and loading trucks. Your expertise will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to deliver high-quality products to the Department of Defense. Tools will be supplied for this position. Hours are 5:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions. Delivery and pick up of materials. Load/unload semi trucks Assist in facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support operations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs. Requirements Mechanically inclined is a bonus Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Experience in facilities maintenance is preferred but not required. High School diploma or equivalent Must have a valid drivers license. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Set Up and operates CNC lathes and/or Milling machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed. • Work with our Engineers and Programmers to make all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches. • The ability to operate more than one machine in a cellular environment is required. • Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application. • Inspects work for all dimensional features as required. • Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements. • Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc according to Company policy. • Performs duties always exercising good machining practices. • Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, safe, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets. • Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary. • Trains, guides, and assists other employees as required. • Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety, and security.
