Job Summary: Provide counter/store service to customers via in-person, phone, and fax. Sell industrial, medical and specialty gases, welding equipment, safety and other supplies to customers. Ensure all customer needs are met in a timely manner. Act as a back-up driver (Driver Rate will be $30/hr when driving). Duties include: • Ensure that all internal and external customers and co-workers receive outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining the highest standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of a ‘Customer is Number 1’ environment. • Open and close. • Assist with daily paperwork (cash reports), filing, preparing packets, answer invoice questions. • Notify client when orders are ready for pick-up; return orders to stock as required, notify customer when back-orders are in, etc. • Assist with weekly freight. Requirements include: • 2 years customer service. • 1 year industry experience a plus. • Class B CDL driver’s license with a Hazmat Endorsement. • Must be alert to surroundings and have the ability to plan ahead and anticipate customer needs. • Ability to work independently, establish priorities and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision. • Effective oral and written communication skills. • Understanding of welding terminology and equipment a plus. • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet use. • Must pass DOT Drug Screen and Background check.
