PURPOSE:  Our Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Sales Agent provides expert guidance and personalized service to clients by selling and servicing auto, homeowner’s, and commercial insurance policies. This role focuses on identifying clients' coverage needs, explaining policy options, and recommending tailored insurance solutions to protect their assets and mitigate risk. The agent is responsible for maintaining client relationships, ensuring policy accuracy, and proactively addressing changes in coverage needs. As a sales-driven position, success is measured by meeting or exceeding sales goals outlined in a separate pay plan. Important License Information:  Employee must have a Florida Property and Casualty Agent License (2-20) or be willing to acquire the 2-20 license through the company. Employees must obtain the 2-20 license within the first 30 days of employment. After successfully completing the 90-day probationary period, Comfort Insurance and Finances will reimburse 50% of the licensing cost. Compensation: Yearly salary rate of $32,000 plus the opportunity to earn uncapped commissions, subject to applicable federal and state tax withholdings.  DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Production of new insurance agency business Assisting with ongoing service to clients Responsible for developing leads, scheduling appointments, identifying customer needs, and marketing appropriate products. Prospecting, generating new business, cross selling and customer service. Helps the long-term success of the agency by following the agency’s guidelines and operational processes. Determines clients' particular needs by quoting and explaining coverage options that meet their immediate and long-term goals. Obtains underwriting approval by completing an application for coverage. Completes coverage by delivering policy; planning future follow-up visits and evaluations of needs. Provides continuing service to customers by thoroughly completing service request, customer policy reviews, and courtesy follow-up calls Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations. Enhances insurance agency reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Requirements JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must be licensed and have 2 years of relevant experience OR not licensed but have at least 2 years in the insurance field/industry and willing to become a licensed agent OR not licensed but must have 5 years of sales experience & be willing to become a licensed agent. Ability to answer a high volume of calls and/or emails daily. Ability to collaborate with and share workload with the sales team.  Technical and critical problem solving skills.  Speak fluent Spanish. Interpersonal skills to create a pleasant experience for all customers, such as being personable and attentive. Ability to project energy and motivate others. Aggressive pursuit of business and personal advancement. This position requires a person who must be able to work under stress and deal with the public effectively in a professional manner.  Able to type minimum 35 words per minute (minimum). Results driven, persistent - able to self-direct and work independently showing initiative, while seeking guidance when appropriate. Ability to work with a team. Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance.  Time management expertise to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner throughout the day.  Organizational skills to keep an accurate record of documentation. Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish fluently.  Proficient technology usage skills. Honest and ethical team player. Sense of urgency with the ability to multitask under pressure. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Computer knowledge such as powerpoint, database and spreadsheets is required.  Strong attendance history of punctuality.  High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Ability to pay close attention to detail and be flexible in a fast paced and growing organization.
