The Building Engineering Division at LaBella provides complete building engineering services including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural engineering. Services range from feasibility studies and analysis through project design and construction. Our engineers are well versed in new construction, renovations, additions, analysis, special structures, and design/build projects for a variety of clients. The Structural Discipline provides structural engineering services with emphasis on new design, repair, and rehabilitation of constructed works, as well as investigation and performance evaluation. This position will work closely under the supervision of a Senior Structural Engineer to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications and reports. Individual must be able to work independently, as well as part of multi-discipline teams Candidates will work on an interesting variety of project types including K-12 and higher education, municipal, health care, large commercial, residential and other unique projects. Duties Perform complex design calculations for analysis and design of new and existing structural systems. Prepare documents and reports from concept design through advanced technical design documentation. Perform field investigations and document findings. Work closely with other engineering and architectural disciplines. Review shop drawings, respond to RFI’s and perform field observations during CA phase. Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required. Coursework in building systems engineering required. Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering is preferred. 3 years minimum experience with concrete, steel, masonry, and/or wood design is required. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and structural engineering design software (RISA, SAP, and/or TSD) is required. EIT required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The Construction Manager will be responsible for administering and directing the construction project throughout the initiation, planning, execution, and closure phases.  The Construction Manager will be the main point of contact with the Client Representative for all construction related activities in the surrounding Rochester area. Duties:  Manage the pre-construction process, including schedule, budget, and quality monitoring and control. Manage the bidding process including contractor solicitation, bidding, evaluation, and selection.   Manage daily activities during the construction execution phase including the project schedule, budget, and the QA/QC process. Manage the organization, tracking, review, and disposition of various construction phase engineering and construction documents including Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, shop drawings, and change orders. Coordinate with multidisciplinary designers, contractors, and clients to communicate project status and set priorities. Provide agenda and conduct periodic project coordination meetings. Resolve construction issues and manage risks to mitigate negative impacts to project and client. Position requires work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends, and frequent travel to project site(s). Requirements Qualifications:  Minimum 10+ years of construction management experience. Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or similar degree. You will be working under the direction of Licensed Professional Surveyors. We offer the opportunity for involvement in a wide variety of surveying assignments for land surveying, civil engineering, architectural and environmental projects. This is a full-time land surveying position, performing field and office duties including but not limited to: boundary, topographic, ALTA/ASCM land title, construction staking, terrestrial LiDAR and UAV/drone surveys.
