Admiral Refrigeration Inc. is looking for a skilled Solidworks/Auto CAD Designer/Drafter to join our team. The primary focus is to create 2D and 3D models, assemblies, and drawings based on project requirements, specifications, and design guidelines for commercial refrigeration systems. We work in the food service industry space, such as Walk-In Boxes, Ice Machines, and Refrigeration Rack Systems. Admiral Refrigeration Inc is a manufacturer of remote refrigeration rack equipment, both air-cooled and water-cooled. Responsibilities: • Utilize SolidWorks/Auto CAD software to create 2D and 3D models, assemblies, and drawings based on project requirements, specifications, and design guidelines. • Develop and modify designs, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and adherence to industry standards. • Generate detailed technical drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and materials, for use in manufacturing and production processes. • Participate in design reviews and provide valuable insights to improve designs and resolve challenges. • Perform detailed checks on designs, models, and drawings to maintain accuracy, consistency. • Identify and rectify discrepancies or errors in designs to ensure high-quality deliverables. \ • Manage multiple design projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines. • Communicate progress, updates, and potential roadblocks to project managers and team members. Qualifications: • Strong SolidWorks/Auto CAD software knowledge. • Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and materials selection. • Experience in drafting and creating technical drawings with precision and accuracy. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about design challenges. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members. • Detail-oriented mindset with a keen eye for identifying design inconsistencies and errors. • Prior experience in product design, engineering, or a related field is a plus. • Knowledge of other CAD software and tools is beneficial. Architects Northwest, Inc in Woodinville needs an energetic, competent, and experienced CAD drafter. Can you draw a builder spec house from scratch with minimum supervision and light check sets? Can you draft client revisions to a stock plan, reverse a plan, add a 3rd car bay, draft an alternate elevation from a designer's rough sketch? Can you do structural engineering installs from markups, WSEC compliance forms, and update a 2009 IRC plan to 2021 IRC? Can you draft site plans? You're what we need! We prefer a full-time in-house W-2 CAD drafter with a reliable car, a no-drama personality and lifestyle, good verbal and email communication skills, good word/excel/internet search skills, and a commitment to generating high-quality permit plans for our many impatient long-term builder clients and custom clients.
