Frontend Software Developer Location: Tysons, VA Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site Salary Range: $200,000 – $220,000 We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Frontend Software Developer to support mission-critical development efforts for a federal agency within a high-security environment. This Subject Matter Expert (SME) level position requires demonstrated expertise in frontend frameworks, cloud services, and containerized deployment in support of advanced enterprise applications. Primary Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and deployment of frontend software solutions using modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular. Translate user requirements into responsive and secure user interfaces that align with mission priorities and architectural standards. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to enable seamless communication between frontend components and backend systems. Utilize AWS cloud platform and development tools to implement scalable, secure, and maintainable applications. Build and deploy containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes for microservice-oriented architectures. Integrate ElasticSearch for enhanced data indexing and search functionalities across applications. Collaborate with stakeholders, technical teams, and DevSecOps personnel in Agile development environments to ensure deliverables meet functional and security requirements. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: 10+ years of professional experience in frontend software development, including JavaScript and Angular frameworks. Proven experience developing and integrating APIs. Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and native development tools. Experience in deploying and managing applications using containerization tools such as Docker and/or Kubernetes. Familiarity with ElasticSearch for data querying and search implementation. Strong understanding of secure software development practices and version control using Git. Ability to work full-time, on-site in Tysons, VA during core business hours (9am–3pm). Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) is required at the time of application. Preferred Qualifications: Practical experience or demonstrated knowledge in AI/ML technologies. Experience in AI modeling with large language models (LLMs). Educational background or practical experience in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance is required for this position. Benefits Compensation: Salary for this position is determined by several factors, including but not limited to location, relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and contract-specific budget considerations.
