Miovic Reinhardt Associates (MRA) seeks a Construction Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will assist construction teams with a wide range of physical tasks to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You will support carpenters, maintain clean and organized job sites, and follow all company safety protocols. Your hard work and attention to detail will directly contribute to the successful delivery of our high-end residential construction projects. RESPONSIBILITIES – Assist carpenters and other trades as directed – Perform manual labor tasks, including digging, lifting, and moving heavy objects – Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment – Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris and removing obstacles – Pick up and deliver tools, materials, and supplies using company vehicle – Perform debris removal and disposal using company vehicle – Complete demolition, excavation, and site preparation tasks under supervision – Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites: properly handle materials, store tools and equipment, and secure site daily – Operate basic hand and power tools safely under supervision – Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) – Report incidents and near misses in accordance with company procedures – Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors – Track and manage assigned tasks and priorities – Perform other duties as assigned by the site superintendent or lead carpenter SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS – Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no at-fault accidents or traffic-related arrests) – Reliable smartphone for communication and time tracking required – Willingness to learn and take on a variety of tasks as needed – Strong work ethic and positive attitude – Proven ability to work well in a team-oriented environment – Takes initiative and supports others to keep projects moving efficiently – Physical strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks and lift heavy objects – Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions – Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is helpful – Ability to follow instructions, stay organized, and maintain a safe work environment – Previous experience in construction or related fields is a plus Signing bonus disbursed after 90 days of employment. QC Tech Civil Construction Field (Boston)
Helical Drilling, a New England based design build Geotechnical Engineering firm is looking to fill a Quality Control Technician’s role. This role would ensure that the project’s specifications are followed and that Helical Drilling’s work has been installed according to the design. They will work with the Helical Drilling (HDI) field supervisor, HDI office, the general contractor, and the project geotechnical engineer. The individual is responsible for recording accurate field and production information on a daily basis along with recognizing unknown anomalies that can affect the original design parameters. When changes or anomalies do occur, they also need to collaborate with the above mention entities on solutions and/or repairs. A successful QC Tech will ensure a project has been built correctly. Responsibilities and Duties: • Read, understand, and follow the design submittal and specifications as it relates to construction of the project. • Document and transfer to field layout plans as-builts, test pier locations, offsets, newly discovered utilities, etc. • Read and understand the boring logs. • Inform field supervisor of on-site change of conditions. • Review design submittal to verify information is accurate. • Complete accurate and timely Daily Field Reports (DFRs). • Prepare plans for field production and use. • Document and report all anomalies. • Participate in project kick off and closeout calls. • Communicate with the HDI office, GC, and/or Geotechnical engineers as directed by field supervisor. • Keep track of production and assist in sequencing of installing elements. • Introduce and be engaged with the on-site geotechnical consultants. • Calculate volume of materials needed (concrete, cement, grout, sand mix, infield mix, etc.) • Setup and preform load tests. Understand the required criteria for execution and completion of a successful test. • Record and complete all logs (drilling, driving, sheeting, grouting, test piers, installation, etc.) • Review the Quality Control Summary sheet and As- Built information at the end of a project for accuracy before submitting to the office. • Enter and record accurate information into the logs.
