Immediate full-time/part-time opening for an employee responsible for metal furniture fabrication at our manufacturing facility in Denver. In this position, you will perform a wide range of duties including grinding/finishing metal, metal fabrication, bending, quality control, material handling, and packaging/crating. Responsibilities: Bending sheets of steel using a bender Hand fabricating sheet metal products to form dining tables and more Grinding and finishing metal products Assemble standard and custom products to meet the needs of our national customers Driving a forklift (will teach, optional) Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish results Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools Managing different tasks simultaneously Quickly responding to new projects being manufactured Work with various material and handling equipment to transport materials Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience working with metals preferred but not required Focus on quality control Trust and integrity Comfortable with multitasking Ability to work safely and independently Ability to work well with others Ability to read and follow work instructions in English Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Tool and Die Maker Role Description: The responsibilities for the Tool & Die Maker are to maintain daily maintenance, upkeep and repair of all dies for a safe, clean, productive and economical operation that fully supports press production. Tool and Die Maker Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Also, additional job duties may be assigned. • Repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of dies. • Work as a team with the production department on all tooling issues. • Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequence of operations for fabricating tools, dies or assemblies. • Use of measuring instruments to conform to specifications, such as; calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators to verify dimensions, alignments and clearances of finished parts. • Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and bench grinders to cut, bore, grind and shape parts to specific dimensions. • File, grind, shim, and adjust parts for proper fit. • Experience working with large progressive, transfer and deep draw dies. • Cut, Shape, and trim blanks or blocks to specified lengths or shapes using power and hand tools. • Rework of damaged components in a timely manner. • Capable of interacting with fellow team members in a professional manner. • Troubleshoot problems to determine solutions. • Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
