Description

We are a Bay Area contractor who specializes in both high-end remodels and high-end ground up projects. We have twenty-years of contractor experience and many repeat clients. We would love to work with a site superintendent and lead carpenter who has a passion for making our clients' vision come true. Job Description: As a Site Superintendent and Lead Carpenter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our construction projects. Having a strong knowledge of all of the trades involved in ground up and remodels would be ideal. We sub out everything except the carpentry. You will be responsible for interpreting architectural, structural and civil plans, ordering materials, managing and laying out subcontractors, conducting job site safety meetings, overseeing a small team of skilled craftspeople. Construction is a dynamic process and we need someone who's comfortable managing in a fast paced changing environment. Additionally, you will need to have your own tools and a truck for transportation to job sites. Key Responsibilities: Scheduling and managing daily work and timeline of subcontractors and in house carpentry team. Anticipating and ordering construction materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficiency. Read and interpret civil, architectural and structural plans to ensure precise execution. Conduct regular job site safety meetings to enforce safety protocols and standards. Manage a small team of carpenters, providing guidance and support. Ensure project quality, deadlines, and budgets are met. Collaborate with project managers to provide progress reports and updates. Qualifications: Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Experience in managing subcontractors and coordinating their work. Strong understanding of construction (civil, architectural, and structural plans) plans, processes, materials, and techniques. Extensive knowledge of ground up construction (Foundations and framing) Proven experience as a superintendent and lead carpenter in residential construction. Commitment to job site safety and knowledge of safety standards. Must have your own tools and a reliable truck for transportation. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
