Journeyman CMU Block Mason – $40/hr | Short-Term Contract | San Jose, CA Construction team is seeking a skilled Journeyman CMU Block Mason for a 2–3 week contract on a park/playground project in San Jose, California. This is a hands-on role requiring precision masonry work and coordination with other trades. Position Overview: You’ll be working on CMU block wall installations with tight tolerances and small openings, including doors and windows. The project involves building up to 9 feet high with multiple grout lifts and supervising support laborers on-site. Key Responsibilities * Install CMU block walls with small openings for animals, two doors, and one window * Build walls up to 9 feet high with 3–4 lifts for grout pours * Maintain tight tolerances on plumbness and alignment * Coordinate with adjacent trades for scope alignment * Supervise laborers and carpenters assisting with heavy lifting * Ensure quality masonry work and maintain site cleanliness Tools & Requirements * Must have a full set of mason tools: lasers, string, mortar tools, cutting tools * Comfortable working outdoors in a physical role * Physical requirements: bending, standing, kneeling, twisting Job Details: * Location: San Jose, CA 95112 * Start Date: September 4, 2025 * Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM * Hours: 40/week * Pay Rate: $40/hr * Duration: 2–3 weeks TEXT "MASON" to 725-208-4669 for immediate consideration!
