Job Duties include but are not limited to: • Engine diagnostics and troubleshooting • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more • Perform engine diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure optimal engine performance • Tune automotive engines for optimal performance • Communicate with the Shop Foreman about necessary repairs and provide time estimates Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic, with a focus on performance tuning and diagnostics • Proficient in operating Dynapack and other chassis dynamometers for performance testing and tuning • Knowledgeable in electronic fuel injection system development, diagnosis, and troubleshooting • Experience with basic internal engine repair, rebuilds, and setup procedures • Expertise in turbocharger, wastegate, and intercooler system development and tuning • Strong electrical experience, including working with automotive electrical systems and wiring • Basic computer and internet skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Available to work full-time (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday), with willingness to work overtime when needed Preferred: • Strong expertise in MoTeC and other engine management system tuning and calibration for high-performance and exotic vehicles • Experience working on Porsche vehicles, including performance upgrades and system tuning Our Benefits Include: • Medical, Dental, and Vision • Paid Vacation • 401K Job Title: Tuning Technician Job Type: Full-time Compensation: starts at $35/hour BOE This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Description: We are looking for an experienced Handyman or Construction Technician to inspect and provide a detailed assessment of metal floor grates at our Jackson Truck Rental location in Grand Rapids, MI. Several new floor grates have recently been installed over canal/drain areas, but due to differences in thickness or alignment, they are not level with the older grates. This project will require a thorough on-site inspection and a written report with recommendations. Scope of Work: Inspect and count all floor grates (both new and existing). Take accurate measurements (Length, Width, and Thickness) for each grate. Calculate the total area covered by the grates – list old and new separately. Assess and recommend the best method to fix/adjust grates for a level, safe surface for vehicles and pedestrians. Identify if clean-up or pressure washing is needed around the grates. Requirements: Experience with metal grate installation, adjustment, or similar construction work. Ability to provide a clear, detailed written report (with measurements & recommendations). Bring necessary tools for inspection and measurement. Must be reliable and punctual.
