Top Shelf Home Services is looking for dependable individuals with integrity and with knowledge of residential construction and renovation. Top Shelf’s primary areas of focus include whole-house gutting-and-rebuilding, kitchen and bathroom renovations, and general home repair and maintenance. From fences and decks, to cabinetry and countertops, to doors and windows. Roles and Responsibilities -Ability to arrive on time to job sites. -Participate in all phases of the construction process -Openness to learning new building and fabrication techniques -Ability to follow plans and stick to "Scopes of Work" for projects -Have a strong understanding in the use of hand and power tools - FOLLOW SAFETY GUIDELINES (you only have ten fingers, and we would like you to keep them) Hiring Requirements -Dependable and timely -Residential construction experience (though we are happy to train the right people) -Able to follow directions quickly and efficiently -Able to work and communicate effectively with a team -Valid Drivers License and dependable transportation -Ability to check in each day with Site Leads/Project Managers Physical Requirements -Ability to stand and walk for an 8 hours -Ability to lift 50 lbs -Ability to perform physical and repetitive motions -Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis -Requires vision/hearing abilities -Ability to tolerate a steady stream of very bad jokes ("Why does everyone hate trim carpenters? They're always cutting corners", and "That guy sure does his level best"....and they get progressively worse). Required Tools and Equipment -Standard carpenter tools (tape measurer, square, hammers, pencils, levels, etc) -Standard power tools (cordless drill and impact driver, skill saw, etc) -Large tools are provided by us as needed (tile saws, chop saws, table saws, etc) Site Required Personal Protective Equipment -Protective eye-wear and Ear Muffs -Gloves -Ankle Supportive work boots Check our our website at TopShelfKitsap.com.
