TRP is seeking a Water Blaster Operator to become part of our Highway Striping Team, and to share our Core Values of increasing road safety of the traveling public and delivering the highest level of precision and excellence. The Water Blaster Operator will operate, maintain, and repair high-pressure water blasting equipment and industrial vacuuming equipment necessary to perform the safe and proper removal, containment, transportation, and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials within heavy industrial settings. Requirements Operate Water Blaster in a safe and efficient manner adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations. Manually clean, install, fit & repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment on tanks. Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and general work area prior to starting any job. Inform supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity. Performs daily preventative maintenance, record and inspection on vehicles to include fueling, cleaning, tire/light inspection, checking and adding fluids as needed. Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Assist maintenance with repairs as needed. Assist paving crew with site preparation and any other activity as needed Communicates and directs coworkers verbally either directly, tracking device or hand signals. Exercise good judgment regarding work site access, unloading and operation to and from work site. Demonstrate a good knowledge in lock out/tag out procedures. Required to follow all safety policies and procedures. Work hours adjusted to meet the project’s needs, days, nights and weekends Able to work in adverse weather conditions, hot or cold temperatures Performs other duties as required. Willing to learn and cross train for multiple roles. Possess a Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement Possess a safe driving record Maintain an active DOT qualification Self-motivator. Physical Requirements: ·         Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds to 100 pounds. ·         Occasionally lift and move more than 100 pounds. ·         Regular exposure to outside weather conditions, moving equipment and machinery parts, moving traffic, fumes, and airborne particles. ·         Noise level of the work environment is moderate to loud. Availability: ·         Monday – Friday. ·         Must be able to work some nights and weekends. ·         Must be able to work overtime. ·         Must be able to travel when necessary.
