Project Accountant Location: Onsite (U.S.) Schedule: Full time About the role We are hiring a hands-on project accountant to build models, analyze pricing and cost decisions, and deliver actionable insights for development projects and overhead departments. You’ll partner with operations and construction teams to monitor KPIs, manage forecasts, and ensure strong management reporting. Responsibilities: Develop financial models to evaluate pricing, cost, and profitability for projects and strategic initiatives. Use Sage 300 or similar ERP to monitor KPIs and expenses; identify trends that affect results. Provide monthly, weekly, and daily expense monitoring, variance analysis, and budget support. Coordinate construction loan draws with banking partners and understand loan documents and schedules. Partner with operations to produce efficiency reporting and ad-hoc analyses. Support forecasting, budget reviews, spending updates, and corporate planning cycles. Maintain accurate P&L and balance sheet forecasts and departmental reporting. Analyze sales and expense trends to improve forecast accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities. Improve reporting processes and data quality through continuous improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. Five or more years of relevant finance or accounting experience with large project development (construction or real estate preferred). Proficiency with Sage 300 (Timberline) and Excel; comfortable learning new systems. Solid grounding in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI/variance analysis. Strong communication skills and the ability to partner cross-functionally and present insights to leadership.
