Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) — a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York — seeks an enthusiastic, dedicated, and mission aligned Safety Officer with the Safety Department. The Safety Officer will bring a passion for the mission of Harlem Children’s Zone: break the cycle of intergenerational poverty with comprehensive, on-the-ground programming that builds up opportunities for children and families to thrive in school, work, and life. We are seeking part-time Safety Officers to provide safety and welfare for the students and staff at all HCZ buildings. In this position, you will play a critical part in the rapid fabrication and support of various cable assemblies used in Army prototype systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building complex cable assemblies to engineering specifications and working in a classified or controlled environment.   Responsibilities:  Build, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies for prototype systems.   Interpret engineer drawings, electrical schematics, and technical specifications.
